As a direct descendant of George Wortman (b. ca 1745) I publish The Wortman Quarterly. My mission is
to spread the historical news of the Wortman Family. In November 2006 I published By George! This is
our Wortman family tree in nine plus generations. Obtain a copy for your family. Contact me.
I have been
a teacher most of my adult life, and right now I channel extra energy into developing and producing our little newsletter.

Mother's Day |
Flo is my mother. She married Donald Harris Wortman (1918-1991) in June 1942. Don's lineage is from George
and Mariah Wortman; Martin Wortman (1771-1839); William Henry Wortman (b 1817); William Wilson Wilmot Wortman (1850-1917);
Harris Wortman, and then Donald.
Mother descends from Canada's earliest Orkney Island settlers. Her great-grandfather
sailed with the Hudson's Bay Company and settled in Red River (Winnipeg) ca 1812.
